Hello guys, where did January disappear to? It seemed to fly by at the end. And here we are a few days before Valentines Day. February the month of love. So I thought I’d share with you all some Valentines gift ideas… for those last minute shoppers.
What is the meaning of Valentines Day you may ask?
Valentine’s Day, also called St. Valentine’s Day, holiday (February 14) when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. … At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I replaced Lupercalia with St. Valentine’s Day. It came to be celebrated as a day of romance from about the 14th century.
Valentines Day (14th February) has grown over the years, the commercial aspect is ever more evident in shops. Whether that be your local supermarket, or restaurants offering “Valentines” deals. It’s great if you don’t have a Valentine but fancy a nice 3 course meal!
Right, I better get started and show you the lovely selection of gifts. The gifts have all been kindly gifted to me for the purpose of this Valentines gift guide – but all thoughts are my own.
The LoveCrafts store is online (perfect for a quick browse and purchase!) it has a whole array of crafts. Ranging from, cross stitching kits, knitting, crochet and embroidery. The bottles are so elegant – with the writing “Be Mine” or “Happy Valentines Day” makes them super unique. This would be a great present idea for wedding favours, birthday gifts and Mother’s Day/Fathers Day. I know I will be checking them out for other occasions.
