Getting into the Christmas Spirit

Hello guys.. it’s officially Christmas month, happy 1st December everyone! Over the last week I have been getting festive by undertaking some christmassy things. Throughout the post I will share with you all what I have been up to.

Firstly, are you the type of person to get into the Christmas spirit in November, or do you like waiting until the 1st December to properly get festive? Put the tree up yesterday, which to me is the start of the festive season. I am a sucker for having a traditional tree, and being the first in my new home I was very excited to put it, decorate and make home all christmassy.

This year the tree has a red, gold and green theme, through baubles and chocolate decorations with a little hint of tinsel and of course some lovely warm lights. Do you have a theme for your tree, i’d love to hear what your themes are?

I was approached a couple of weeks ago by the lovely Rope Source to review their Twine. I was sent their Christmas luxury twine selection box, which allowed me to get creative.

I got a bit excited and started using my twine this week, as you can see it’s perfect for including in your wrapping for presents. Normally I use ribbon, so this is a great alternative which gives a great effect and makes presents look more personalised. Each year I buy kraft paper, mainly because I love the rustic look and the Baker’s twine looks perfect with the two kinds of kraft wrapping.

The twine was super easy to use, the red and green twine is intertwined with gold which is super christmassy, which I love! Whilst wrapping the presents, I was trying to think of another creative way to use the twines and came up with a great idea for Christmas tree decs.

I brought some super sparkly stars from Matalan, which i fell in love with! They came in Red, Gold and Green so perfect for my theme this year. I got them home and decided to mix up the ribbon which they already had on them… So yes you guessed it I used the luxury baker’s twine. I matched the green to the green and gold, and the red to the red and gold. But I am sure they would look lovely the other way round also.

The twine could be used for many other craft ideas, such as on christmas wreaths or used within other christmas tree decorations.

I loved getting festive this week, wrapping presents and getting the tree up! It’s truly the start of Christmas for me now.

If you are looking for an alternative twine this festive season, do head over to Rope Source and check out their other twine, there is lots to choose from!

Love
