Bills Restaurant | Review *

Hello Guys! Apologies for my absence… Life is full on at the moment. Work is super busy and getting everything sorted with my new home. But it’s very exciting indeed 😌

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to a press meal, to experience the newly renovated Bills Restaurant in West Quays Watermark, Southampton. I took along my friend and fellow blogger Izzy check out her blog.

We were greeted by their friendly staff who swiftly took us to our seats, we were given a set menu and also their general menu. In which we could choose 2 courses of whatever we fancied.

Firstly though, was the decision of what drink to pick! I am a big cocktail lover and Bills offered a lovely array of cocktails to choose from. Myself and Izzy opted for;

Rhubarb Rossini:

Strawberry puree & rhubarb liqueur, finished with Prosecco

Hedgerow Fizz:

Wild Sussex elderflower cordial, frozen blackberry, topped with Prosecco

Starter

The drinks arrived quickly whilst we were still deciding what yummy plates to eat. I went for the Devilled Chicken Skewers (with spicy barbeque glaze, spring onion, lime & tzatziki) whilst Izzy decided on the Crumbled Halloumi Sticks (with Lime Aoili).

Our starters were very yummy.. the Lime Aoili however was a little spicy. The Devilled chicken skewers reminded me of eating out at a Greek Restaurant in Kos. The tzatziki was yummy and complimented the chicken really well!

Main Course

Main Courses, this wasn’t a difficult decision for either of us! We both went for a burger, they sounded super scrummy! Izzy went for the Halloumi Burger (with tomato hummus, sweet chilli sauce, roasted red peppers, pea shoots, red onion, lime aioli, sesame bun & fries) and I went for the Buttermilk Chicken Burger (Crumbed chicken breast, creamy coleslaw, chipotle mayonnaise, sesame bun & fries). The burgers definitely didn’t disappoint! They were fully loaded with lots of flavour and with cheeky fries on the side.

The staff were very assertive throughout with both their serving and clearing of the table. We even got offered dessert, which of course we couldn’t turn down… we had to try all 3 courses of course! Ha Ha.

Dessert

Izzy went for Ice Cream whilst I fancied trying the Warm Strawberry Dusted Doughnuts! It was a great choice, and I’d highly recommend them to any sweet tooth lover 😌

Overall, we both really enjoyed our experience at the newly refurbished Bills Restaurant in Southampton. The staff are so lovely and make you feel valued. I cannot wait to visit again!

Love
