A lot of people have asked the me the same questions, time and time again….
“Why did you start blogging?”
“Have you always had an interest in blogging?”
So I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to share with you the main reasons ‘why did I start blogging’ as ‘lifeofemmax‘. A lifestyle and travel blogger – I am sure we may share similar reasons or indeed have completely different reasons as to why you started blogging yourself.
- I had been engaging with bigger bloggers for about 6 months before I took the plunge myself, mainly liking instagram feeds or commenting on twitter posts with my personal account. Loved seeing the engagement on ‘It’s Little Lauren’ and ‘Alice Anne’ they are both big inspirations to me and if you have not checked out their accounts, I’d definitely recommend taking a sneaky peak. Enjoy seeing their day to day life and how they engage themselves with the blogging community, and not forgetting their PR reviews.
- I love being creative and started getting an interest in taking little photographs, from travelling to food… Who doesn’t take photographs of their pretty food or little daffodils in a country field? Therefore I was looking for a little space of the internet to share my photography.
- I’d also be writing little articles at work, and looking for an opportunity to write other content so back last year I saw an advertisement on our local facebook job page which was from a local lady who runs a Thatch company. She was looking for an individual to update her website on a part time basis as her work load had increased. I jumped at the opportunity, and it’s allowed me to completely familiarise myself with WordPress and learn how to create my own currently small blogging site. [There’s still a lot of work I’d love to make on my blog, so watch this space].
- To meet new people with similar interests. I have a couple of friendship groups who I adore and couldn’t live without, but nobody really shares the ‘Blogging’ interest with me, so I decided getting out there and into blog writing would help me to engage with other bloggers who have the same passion and interests as myself! Well what can I say…. I love the whole community spirit the passion of fellow bloggers and the support many bloggers have given me so far. Hoping to grow my blog and become more niche over the next year or so, I know it’ll take time but I cannot thank you all enough for the love and support you’ve shown me so far on my blogging journey.
On a personal level I am really enjoying my little journey, from January I have created my own webpage become self hosted [feel free to ask me any questions if you need advice], got my own domain name and twitter/instagram pages. I now enjoy the freedom of being able to upload little pics of what I love and engage with fellow bloggers on twitter chats and feeds.
I hope you enjoyed reading about ‘Why I started Blogging’ also since I started blogging in January I’ve made a lovely group of blogger friends, who are amazing, supportive and a great laugh to talk to! We came together through our love for blogging and I hope we continue to share our journeys together. Which brings me onto BLOGCON, hosted by Scarlett London Events. I cannot wait to attend my first blogging event with lots other fellow bloggers.
Are you attending the event? Now you know all know ‘why did I start blogging’ why did you start?
