A little weekend by the seaside

Little weekend down the Jurassic Coast, Dorset

I’ve spent the weekend down in Dorset at my parents holiday house by the seaside.

The little house is situated between Charmouth and Lyme Regis, along the Jurassic Coast. It’s such a picturesque place if I do say so myself ?

Charmouth is a quaint village with a few local boutique shops, two pubs The George and The Royal Oak both pubs have their lovely little characteristics. Personally The George is my favourite with a beer garden in the summer and carveries in the winter.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis is approx 5 miles away from the house and offers a lot more opportunities and services. The high street has a number of bakeries, independent shops and even a Fat Face/Seasalt. There’s numerous pubs, eateries and cafes so you’ll be dazzled with choice!

The harbour in Lyme Regis is beautiful, with lots of opportunities for lovely pictures… of course I took full advantage of this!

Looking to go abroad, why not head to Budapest?

From the USA and can’t say I’ve ever heard of the Jurassic Coast. I didn’t see any dinosaurs in the pics, so I assume it’s safe to travel. Seems like a great place to visit.

Hello.. It’s along the South Coast of the UK, the Jurassic Coast name comes from the dinosaur fossils which can be found along the beaches at Lyme Regis and Charmouth 🙂
